Do I need to move anything outside first?

No. The crew carries from wherever it is — a bedroom, an upstairs landing, the back of a garage. Curbside pickup exists if that suits you better, but nothing is priced on the assumption you will do it.

Can you take just one item?

Yes. There is a minimum charge that reflects sending a crew and a truck, so it is worth asking whether anything else can go on the same visit.

Will good furniture be donated?

Usable pieces are separated for donation as a matter of course. Say so at booking if there is something specific you want handled that way.

Do you sweep up afterwards?

Yes, the space is left swept. Deep cleaning is a different trade and we do not claim to cover it.

Why households book this rather than doing it

Three reasons, in roughly this order. The item is too heavy or too awkward for the people available — a sectional, a treadmill, a refrigerator. There is nowhere to take it, because municipal bulk collection has limits that most of these items exceed. Or there is simply too much of it, which is what a garage or an attic amounts to.
