The standard we build to

This site targets WCAG 2.1 Level AA. That is a target rather than a certification — no automated tool proves conformance, and the honest position is that we build to the standard, test against it, and fix what is reported.

What has been done deliberately

• Semantic HTML throughout. Real headings in order, real lists, real tables with row and column headers, and one h1 per page.
• Keyboard operation. Every interactive element is reachable and operable by keyboard. The navigation dropdowns open on focus, close on Escape, and do not trap focus.
• A visible focus indicator. A three-pixel outline in a dark yellow that meets contrast against both the light and dark backgrounds used on this site.
• A skip link. First in the tab order on every page, jumping past the navigation to the main content.
• FAQ answers in the DOM. Built on native details and summary, so they are keyboard-operable with no JavaScript and readable by assistive technology whether open or closed.
• The before-and-after comparison is driven by a native range input. The visual handle is decoration; the actual control is a native slider with a label and a live value description, so it works with a keyboard and a screen reader rather than only with a mouse.
• Descriptive alt text. Every photograph has alt text describing what is in it, written when the image was cataloged rather than generated from a filename.
• Reduced motion respected. With prefers-reduced-motion set, scroll-reveal animations resolve immediately to their end state and transitions are reduced to nothing.
• Text that reflows. Layouts use relative units and no page scrolls horizontally at 320px. Wide tables scroll inside their own container rather than pushing the page sideways.
• The mobile action bar stays hidden from assistive technology until it is actually on screen, and its links are removed from the tab order until it is visible.

Known limitations

The booking, quote and sign-in forms belong to the platform rather than to this site. They are provided by the Junk Koala platform at junkkoala.com and embedded into this site. We do not control their markup, and accessibility issues inside those widgets have to be fixed by the platform rather than here.

If a form is unusable for you, that is a real barrier and there is a direct alternative: call (972) 093-0938 and the whole job — quote, scheduling, details — can be handled over the phone. That is not a fallback we consider adequate as a substitute for an accessible form, but it does mean nobody is prevented from using the service.

The before-and-after photographs carry their meaning visually. The alt text on each describes the before and after state in words, but a comparison is inherently a visual device. Nothing essential to understanding or booking the service depends on it.
